The date the book is due is stamped on a date due slip that is in front of each book. Books are checked out for a 2-week time period. It can be rechecked, if there is not a hold on it.
OVERDUE BOOK:
This is a book you have checked out that has not been turned in or rechecked on or before the due date. Overdue books can cause you to be unable to check out other books. It is very important for you to remember when your books are due!
OVERDUE FINE:
Our fine rate is $0.05 per day that each book is late. Fines are not charged for weekends or holidays. Also, if you were absent when your books were due, you will not be fined. But you have to tell us when you turn the books in. If you have a fine that is $1.00 or higher, you will only be able to check out 1 book until it is clear.
LOST/DAMAGED BOOK(S):
You are responsible for the purchase price of any book that is checked out in your name and is missing, lost or damaged. If the book(s) are partially damaged, but still usable, you will be charged a damage fee determined by the librarian.
